  • Schoen Place Festivities – Celebrate the Seneca Chief

    Join us at Schoen Place on Sunday, September 28, from approximately 12:00–2:00 PM as the Seneca Chief and its accompanying flotilla dock in Pittsford for a special Bicentennial celebration!

    Festivities will include:

    • A spirited performance by the Pittsford Fire Department Band

    • Presentation of colors by the Rayson Miller Post 899 Color Guard and Boy Scouts

    • Remarks from public officials honoring this historic occasion

    • The announcement of Dock Decorating Contest winners

    • The ceremonial departure of the Seneca Chief (scheduled for 1:45–2:00 PM)

    In addition, tours of participating boats will be available to the public, coordinated through Cornhill Navigation, offering a unique chance to step aboard and experience canal history firsthand.

    Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime celebration as Pittsford honors 200 years of the Erie Canal’s legacy!
