Arbor Day Proclamation Event

When:

Come celebrate National Arbor Day! Family friendly activities for all to enjoy as the Village celebrates Arbor Day 2018. In the words of J.Sterling Morton, founder of Arbor Day, "other holidays repose upon the past, Arbor Day proposes for the future."

Come celebrate Arbor Day 2018 in the Village of Pittsford! Paint Fairie doors to be on display at the Pittsford Library, make a birdfeeder to take home with you, and watch a Magician perform magic tricks! Play a recycling game for prizes, listen to music by 'Just the Fog' and even learn about the rescue birds visiting from Wild Wings, Inc! A bike tour along the canal and a walking tree tour will allow you to appreciate all the wonderful Village trees, and presentations on how to properly prune trees and the Emerald ash borer will help you make sure your trees stay healthy and beautiful. Get bookmarks and posters provided by the NYS Department of Conservation Avon, NY Region 8 Office, tree-themed puzzle handouts for kids, and a free tree seedling! Come geocache, get your face painted and enjoy hot dogs, chips, and soda while listening to an Arbor Day proclamation by Village of Pittsford Trustee Caraberis and speech by Town Supervisor Bill Smith.

Join the Village for sweet treats, lots of fun, and a wonderful Arbor Day event that the Village hopes to continue for years to come.

And come visit the Village Hall all month long to view Arbor Day themed artwork from the members of the Pittsford Art Group.
