Zoning Compliance Letter Requests
A Zoning Compliance Letter provides a written determination from the Code Enforcement Officer, based on the Village's available records, regarding whether the existing use and/or structures on a property appear to comply with the applicable provisions of the Village Zoning Code as of the date the letter is issued.
A Zoning Compliance Letter may be requested for purposes such as property sales, refinancing, due diligence, or other transactions requiring documentation of zoning status.
Please Note:
- The letter reflects the property's zoning status as of the date issued and is subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- A Zoning Compliance Letter is not a building permit, certificate of occupancy, certificate of compliance, site plan approval, special permit, variance, or any other land use approval.
- The letter does not certify property boundaries, ownership, easements, environmental conditions, floodplain status, or compliance with the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code.
