In coordination with the Monroe County stormwater coalition, the Village of Pittsford has Developed and implemented a Stormwater Management Program (SWMP) in pursuit of clean water by the NYSDEC SPEDES General permit. This is for Stormwater Discharges from Municipal Separate Stormwater Systems known as MS4’s. This plan consists of six minimum control measures, which include public education and Outreach, Public Involvement and Participation, Illicit Discharge Detection, Reporting, and Elimination, Construction Site Stormwater Runoff Control, Post-Construction Stormwater Management, and Pollution Prevention / Good Housekeeping for Municipal Facilities and Operations.
