Stormwater and Fall Leaf Collection

As the vibrant colors of fall fade, the leaves create beautiful ground cover—but when piled in roadways, they can lead to stormwater and safety concerns. The Village of Pittsford is part of the Monroe County Stormwater Coalition, and we’re committed to keeping our storm sewer system in top shape.

 

Piling leaves in roadways or gutters can clog the storm sewer system and cause bigger problems, especially during severe weather. To help us maintain these essential systems, we kindly ask residents to keep leaves within grassy areas as much as possible.

 

Our crews are working hard to collect leaves throughout the Village, and we truly appreciate your cooperation in keeping our community safe and our systems running smoothly. Thank you for doing your part!
